El Arizal: the tree where flowers and stories grow

Six years have passed since Loreta Pandereta began narrating stories through its pieces. Six years of inspiration, of colors that bloom in patient hands, and of a legacy that was born in the gardens of Hilda, our founding grandmother.

It was in the province of Vélez, Santander, where it all began. In this region, women learned the art of weaving not only as a trade, but as a way of life; a method of survival that allowed them to raise their children while creating beauty with their hands. From those roots our purpose was born: to preserve tradition and transform it into art.

A journey through our roots

El Arizal is a deeply personal collection. Every design is inspired by the journey that the Ariza family has taken over three generations, a path that intertwines love, work, and dreams.

The journey begins in the region of Vélez, the cradle of the bocadillo (guava paste candy), the guabina (a traditional dance/music genre), and the church that rebelled and decided to stand crookedly facing the park; it continues through Sucre, Santander, the municipality where two of the founding grandmothers were born; and advances to La Belleza, the town that saw my parents, my uncles, my cousins, and me, Lore, grow up. That place is the cradle of all our history, where the essence of what we are today blossomed. Its extensive landscapes are worthy of admiration, and in its vast rural paths (veredas) an orchid that was believed to be extinct was discovered: the Pleurothallis Velosana.

With the passage of time, the family decided to seek new opportunities and settled in Floridablanca, the sweet capital of Santander. There we founded our workshop: the space where every idea comes to life, where the works of art that today bear the Loreta Pandereta seal are born. And finally, we arrived in Bogotá, the capital that opened its doors to us and allowed us to dream big, expand, and share our art with the world.

The colors of our story

The shades of El Arizal are an emotional map. The earth tones evoke the mountains and roads of the towns that marked our journey; while the greens and reds reflect the vibrant landscapes, the fruit-filled mountains, and the sunsets that accompanied every stage of our family history.

A tribute to the Ariza family

The name El Arizal is a tribute to our roots, to a family that has made unity and creativity its greatest legacy. Each member has contributed their part to help this brand flourish: from family gatherings where everyone helped shape the flowers, to birthday celebrations that ended with plates full of beads (mostacillas), separated with patience and affection.

This collection is a tribute to The Arizas and the lands that saw them grow up. An ode to tradition, to work done with love, and to the hands that converted a memory into a jewel.

We hope you love this collection as much as we loved creating it.

With affection

Lore.
