Hiiiiiiii, today I want to talk to you about a topic that has me completely exhausted lately: perfection. <\/strong><\/p>

It’s interesting how, as women, we can be the best cheerleaders for our friends. \ud83d\udc81\u200d\u2640\ufe0f When one of them is going through a difficult time, we bring out the best in ourselves: words of encouragement, messages of empowerment, and the certainty that everything will be okay. But when we look in the mirror, it seems that sweet, powerful voice fades away. We turn into our own worst enemy, the fiercest of critics. Why is it so hard for us to talk nicely to ourselves?<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

We live in a society that bombards us with unreachable expectations. It is expected that we be the perfect mother, the impeccable professional, the flawless host, the ever-present friend, the devoted daughter, and on top of that, that we have the perfect body and face. \ud83c\udfc6<\/p>

And while we are juggling to fulfill every role, how many times do we stop to think about all the weight we are carrying? It’s no surprise that, at the end of the day, we are emotionally and physically exhausted. <\/p>

A man, on the other hand, doesn’t usually worry so much about his physical appearance or the perfection of his look. He doesn’t stop to think if his bag matches his shoes or if the colorimetry of his clothes is aligned with fashion trends. And this is where the root of the problem lies: as women, we have been taught to measure our worth through perfection, while, for them, self-acceptance is almost natural. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

From a very young age, we are taught that our worth depends on what we achieve, on how well we fit into all the social molds. We learn to be strong for others, but we forget to be kind to ourselves. That small inner voice becomes an implacable judge that reminds us of everything we “are not”: not good enough, not thin enough, not successful enough. <\/p>

It’s easy to empower our friends because we see in them everything that is worthwhile, all the strength and light they carry inside. But when it comes to ourselves, the reflection in the mirror is distorted by impossible expectations and constant self-criticism. It’s as if it’s hard for us to give ourselves permission to be human, imperfect, real. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
